Cassandra's Summer Learning Journey: Week 4, Day 3, Activity 2 - 2019

  1. Hi Cassandra,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I'm so glad that you've chosen to be a part of this program and to work so hard on the activities. Good on you!

Hmmm... I wonder which list of facts about Maui dolphins might be the correct one? It's tempting to think that dolphins would like sushi - it's seafood, after all. But I think I have to go with the first list of 3 facts as being the 'true' facts.

Well done! It is interesting, isn't it, to learn new things about the animals and plants that are special to your country or region? I was out hiking in one of our parks recently and I saw a Pine Marten running along the forest floor. It's a kind of weasel and it's usually very afraid of being anywhere near people, but it was close enough to our trail that I could see it. That was a first - I was very excited!!

We have a lot to learn from the creatures and the plants that live in our environments!!! This SLJ program is a fun way for me to learn more about both New Zealand and other places in the world. Hurray for technology that allows me to share this journey with you, even though I live in Canada!!

Keep up your great work. I'll continue to read your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
