Cassandra's Summer Learning Journey: Week 2, Day 2, Activity 2 - 2019

  1. Hi Cassandra,

It's Leslie, reading your blog as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I wonder if you're hanging upside down right now as you read this response to your posting...

Your choice of your uncle as a strong person sounds excellent. Lifting weights and working out in a gym are excellent ways to be build strength - how nice that your uncle has a girlfriend who enjoys doing the same things?

And it sounds as though your uncle makes good choices in his diet too, avoiding sugary foods. Sugar doesn't help build muscle, protein does, and so do good healthy fats. So your uncle knows what he's doing!

I can imagine you might not love it when he turns you upside down. My dad used to pick me up and do the same thing. I actually didn't mind at all, but I used to spend a lot of time on a jungle gym in our backyard, hanging upside down on my own. So being upside down was fun for me!

I hope you're getting out to have fun outside during this summer holiday, as well as having time to enjoy reading books, as you've indicated you like to do. Holidays are super! And I hope you'll keep working at these activities - you're doing a great job of them!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
