Cassandra's Summer Learning Journey: Week 3, Day 4, Activity 3 - 2019

  1. Hi Cassandra,

It's Leslie here, reading your blog as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.

What a wonderful description you gave of what you see in the cloud you chose! I agree, it does look like a tornado. If it weren't up in the midst of a blue sky, I might be worried!

Have you ever seen a real tornado? I rather hope not. But there are people who are called 'storm chasers' because, whenever a big storm appears in the sky, they hop in their cars and race to be in the middle of it. Isn't that amazing? That wouldn't be my choice!!!

Do you ever lie on the ground and watch the sky, looking at the clouds to see what shapes they hold? I love to do that on a nice day.

I won't be doing that for a while, however, as we're in the middle of a winter blizzard just now. There's over 30 cm of snow on the ground and more is falling fast. We can't see our front lawn, needless to say, and we have to go out to shovel the driveway frequently. It's wild out there!! Is that hard for you to imagine??

I hope you're enjoying a beautiful summer day and that you're enjoying doing these activities.

I'll continue to read your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie

  2. Good Afternoon Leslie,

I hope your doing well at home in the cool country of Canada! Thank you for coming back onto my blog full of activities and comments.

No, I have never seen a tornado before, have you? I'm sure if I ever did, I'd totally freak out! Imagine if we all got sucked up into it and got twirled around in speed mode. Well that's goodbye me!

Yes, lying down on the grass at my house is very common. I love to do it when I'm bored, and when I want to be relaxed. I can sometimes picture the clouds as sleighs! What shapes come into your point of view?

    Thanks,

    Cassandra
