You are absolutely right. The Word Wildlife Fund (WWF) is working to protect the seal pups from being born on open ice. They are doing this by building snow banks which will protect the pups from the cold air, predators, and impact from humans. If the WWF were not building these snow banks then up to half of the pups born, could die. That would be awful as there are not many seals left from this particular species. Do you remember the name of this species of seals? You may need to carefully watch the video once more to catch the name.
