Cassandra's Summer Learning Journey: week 3, day 2, activity 2 -

  1. Hi Cassandra,

Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my very wintry home in Canada. Brrrr.. It's extremely cold here today with a temperature of -35 C. Can you imagine that? Even my dog, Spirit, doesn't want to go outside for a walk! Unfortunately, she has to of course, so I have to too!

I'm looking at the list of items you don't care for and that you'd like to put into a magical sink. This is quite a varied list - everything from vegetables to egg salad to candy (licorice). I have to say that I'm not a fan of radishes either, but my list would also have cooked spinach on it. I love fresh spinach salads but I can't handle the smell or taste of cooked spinach. Who knows why? My sister loves it!

There are times when I think a magical sink would be super helpful and it would have been even more helpful when I was a child and my mother cooked liver for dinner. I would have given anything to be able to avoid eating that!!!

I hope you're having some really good healthy food treats this summer and that you're enjoying using your imagination for some of these SLJ activities.

I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
